During the three shows per day, an average of 150 to 200 people watched each show. The exhibitors also found it positive that they could present their latest creations with greater visibility.
With B2B trade fairs globally under pressure as a result of dwindling exhibitor and visitor numbers, Baselworld us no exception. Under new management, a fresh new approach was taken to transform a traditional trade fair into an experience platform for a bourgeoning watch and jewellery community. Amongst the many changes implemented in 2019, the Show Plaza was undoubtedly the jewel in the crown. Serving as the main stage for all official Baselworld events, the Show Plaza became a magnet in Hall 1.2. Designed as a ring adorned with diamonds, the stage was visible to the audience from every corner of the Hall thanks to wall-size screens strategically mounted to display the events occurring on stage.
